At Gazelli House this month our focus is on energy and how to have more of it. Our Reiki master, Jasmin Harsono, has created a five-minute breathwork technique to give your energy levels a reboot.

Jasmin explains: “The technique is called the ‘Three Diamond Breath’ as it focuses on three points within the body. In Reiki we have three main energy centres, called The Three Diamonds.. The lower Hara, connecting to Earth energy, is three inches below the navel and is the centre of the body’s energetic powerhouse. The upper Hara, connecting to Heaven energy, is located at the third eye and crown of the head – it quietens the mind and opens our intuition. The middle Hara, connected to inner-heart energy, is deep in the heart centre – it contains a sense of coming home and aligning to your truth.”

“Usually this breathwork practice is done with Reiki, so I recommend coming to a meditation class or 1:1 session with me to experience it in combination with the energy of Reiki. However, you can also try this breathwork practice at home, using your natural breath.”

Three Diamond Breath

  • Visualise yourself breathing into these three points of the body.

  • Breathe in through the nose and try to visualise bright white light pouring in through the soles of your feet and passing through these three energy points in a single breath, all the way to the crown of your head. Ensure that your breath is soft and even, filling every part of you with air.

  • Then exhale from the crown of your head, taking the breath all the way through the body, back down to the soles of your feet.

  • Continue this way for at least 5 or 10 minutes. It is a superb way of increasing your energy and bringing a vibrant flow into your mind, body and spirit.

Jasmin holds a group Reiki mediation at Gazelli House, our wellbeing space in South Kensington, on the first Thursday of each month – you can find more details here.
