Meet the Experts: Anoushka Florence of The Goddess Space
We are excited to be welcoming Anoushka Florence of The Goddess Space to Gazelli House on 30 April to host a Women’s Circle – a safe and sacred space created to support, empower and inspire women to journey back to their true essence. Anoushka birthed The Goddess Space back in 2015 when she began to host small Women’s Circles in her living room. Her continuing work is based on ancient spiritual feminine practices that are grounded in the belief that the power to heal and to live the life we dream of comes from within ourselves. From small beginnings, The Goddess Space has grown into a deeply powerful community: a tribe of soul sisters who are making their own journeys, navigating their way through life and finding the courage and strength to choose the most authentic path for them. Intrigued by her certainty that ‘We all have the Magik inside of us, we just need to remember’, we caught up with Anoushka to find out more.
What was your first experience of a Women’s Circle?
I had never been to a Women’s Circle before I began to create them. The idea came from an enormous calling I felt inside me to gather and sit in a circle with women. Little did I know then that I was tapping into an ancient feminine practice.
Can you tell us a bit about the history of Women’s Circles?
Women’s Circles have been happening in communities for thousands of years. We have evidence of their existence dating back at least to biblical times, when women would gather for the new moon, or around their monthly cycles, to connect, share and retreat from the outside world.
What inspired you to create The Goddess Space and why do you think women coming together to create a sense of community is so important in the modern world?
The Goddess Space was birthed out of the belief that women are in desperate need of sacred spaces to enable them to come back home to themselves, to rediscover their true essence. As women, we have lived in a masculine society all our lives, so on an experiential basis, this is all we know.
When we can gather together with other women, hold space for each other and have others hold space for us, we realise that we are not alone. And this realisation is very healing and powerful. As women, we naturally give so much, and unless we can refill and reboost our energy we will end up by burning out.
The Goddess Space seeks to change the way we think, bringing women together to experience a return to the feminine that will enable us to rediscover and maintain our equilibrium.
Tell us about the sharing circle at Gazelli House on 30 April.
The Women’s Circle at Gazelli House will provide a safe space for women to gather, to share and to speak their truth without fear of judgment. This is a space for you to reconnect with your needs, your desires and your dreams and to begin to rid yourself of all that is blocking you from realising them.
How do you want people to feel after attending a Goddess Gathering?
My intention is for women to feel more connected to their true selves and more empowered to take steps to bring their lives into alignment with that essential woman. Through guided meditation, ancient rituals and the bonds we create between us, we will embark on a beautiful two-hour journey that will connect us to the true power of the feminine.
Tell us about your typical day before 9am.
I wake up and spend a few minutes lying in bed before I go to meditate, move my body and journal. I then make a selection of potions including a fresh celery juice, apple cider vinegar and oregano oil. If I need an extra boost, I'll brew a cacao.
Morning rituals are very important to me. If I fail to centre myself in the morning, my whole day is out of whack. Morning rituals become the activator for my day.
What mantra do you live by?
It’s all happening for you, not to you.
The Goddess Space will be popping up again later in the year for another beautiful Women’s Circle at Gazelli House in Chelsea for an evening of Goddess Vibes. To be the first to hear, email us at mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org
